Robbie Furze and Milo Cordell formed The Big Pink back in 2008. Although both of music stock, their debut, A Brief History of Love, was the first collection of songs that either were really able call their own. Both from London, the genetics of The Big Pink are not incidental. Milo, the son of 1960s producer Denny Cordell, is behind the celebrated Merok label, instrumental in unleashing the mutant soul of Crystal Castles, Salem, and Teengirl Fantasy upon the world, while Furze first made a name for himself playing with industrial behemoths Panic DHH and Alec Empire. Such disparate roots speak loudly of the ambitions of The Big Pink, as they pull unexpected and marginal forms into the spotlight of a wider audience.

The Big Pink is now formed of founder Robbie Furze, Mary Charteris, Free Hallas & Jesse Russell. They are preparing for what is to be a big 2016 with the imminent release of their forthcoming ‘Empire Underground’ EP on B3SCI Records in March. This will follow with their eagerly anticipated third full-length album later in the year, alongside a North American tour. Their forthcoming release features contributors Andrew Wyatt, Dave McCraken (producer of Ian brown), Robert Been (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club) and was mixed by the legendary Alan Moulder.
