Teszla
Smooth, chill, laid back, are just a few words that describe the sound that Teszla provides for her listeners. With the recent release of her album Art&B Volume 1, she holds true to the sound that encouraged her to start music at an early age. Born and Raised In St. Louis, Missouri, Teszla started writing songs at the ripe age of 9 and hasn’t stopped since. Without any vocal training, Teszla gives credit to her musical family and church for pushing her to step out from behind the curtain and move to the forefront.
After high school, she started to take music more seriously, from being in recording studios, interacting with different producers, entering vocal competitions and writing more. “I had to experience life, love, and failure, thats where my music comes from, my sound is just different.” Teszla prides herself on not being placed in a box, “people always ask, what’s your genre, what type of music do you do? I know I’ve done my job when Im asked that question.”
Taking influence from all genres, with a hypnotic blend of beats, Teszla showcases a futuristic trippy sound, giving off R&B, alternative, electronic and even hip hop. A singer, writer, poet, storyteller…An artist.
