See actress, singer, author and activist Jenifer Lewis accept her induction into the St. Louis Walk of Fame!

Her brass star and bronze plaque in the sidewalk will be revealed. The ceremony will be about 15 minutes.  A four-piece ragtime band will play prior – the St. Louis River Critters. Come enjoy – it’s free and open to the public!

​Movie, television, and Broadway actor Jenifer Lewis was born in Kinloch in St. Louis County and attended Webster University. After performing in Broadway musicals, she appeared in movies such as Sister Act, What’s Love Got to Do with It,  Poetic Justice, The Preacher’s Wife, Castaway, Madea’s Family Reunion, and Think Like a Man.Beloved for her comedic charisma and rich portrayal of matriarchal figures, she was known as the “Mother of Black Hollywood.” She brought wit and personality to over 400 episodes of TV including The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, A Different World, and the critically-acclaimed Black-ish. Jenifer Lewis also voiced numerous animated films including The Princess and the Frog and Cars.

Will I be able to sit down?

Some shows have limited seating (or no seating) on a first-come, first-serve basis. Don't worry, though – you will want to be on your feet once the music starts!

Where can I buy tickets for shows at Blueberry Hill Duck Room?

Unless otherwise noted, tickets for shows at Blueberry Hill Duck Room can be purchased in advance on, at The Pageant's Box Office (6161 Delmar Blvd, St Louis, MO, 63112), and Suite 100 at The Pageant. Tickets can also be purchased at the Duck Room door on the night of the show, an hour prior to door time, unless the show is sold out. Tickets are not available at the Blueberry Hill bar.

Are shows wheelchair accessible?

All shows at Blueberry Hill in the Duck Room are wheelchair accessible via an elevator in the Piano Room hallway. (Please call us 24 hours in advance to coordinate.) A small percentage of shows are in the Elvis Room, which is not accessible.
