Murder City Players began playing Reggae in St. Louis in 1983. MARLEYFEST is their annual 2-day concert celebrating the music and Birthday of Bob Marley. Every year this concert takes place in Blueberry Hill’s Duck Room on a weekend near his Birthday of February 6th. For the first time MARLEYFEST will be open to all ages.
This year Murder City Players are excited to introduce 3 new guest vocalists to the lineup. Band cofounder Tony Rome and accompanying vocalist Shae Alise will be joined by:
- Gene Jackson who recently released a new album with Blue Lotus Records, and sings with Soul Reunion
- Al Gibbs of Chicago’s long-standing reggae band Dub Dis
- Big Mike Aguirre of the Blu City Allstars
Of this year’s MARLEYFEST, bass player Danny Kombrink says, “We put a lot of effort into this performance and I think it shows. The band is tight, the vocalists sound outstanding and we’re just counting down the days…it’s really a treat seeing many of the same fans each year as well as meeting newcomers that share an appreciation for Bob Marley’s timeless music.”
Will I be able to sit down?
Some shows have limited seating (or no seating) on a first-come, first-serve basis. Don't worry, though – you will want to be on your feet once the music starts!
Are shows wheelchair accessible?
All shows at Blueberry Hill in the Duck Room are wheelchair accessible via an elevator in the Piano Room hallway. A small percentage of shows are in the Elvis Room, which is not accessible.
Whom should I contact about band bookings?
Go to the Contact Us page and select Band Booking from the category options.
Or go to http://blueberryhill.com/band-bookings/
Do you do separate checks?
We regret we can't provide separate checks. We still use the old-fashioned paper ticket system we've used for the past 46 years. Actually facilitates faster food service.
