Born in Stockton, CA, Christopher Scott Kannberg (aka Spiral Stairs) established himself in the early -90’s as a founding member, guitar player and songwriter for the highly influential indie rock outfit Pavement. In 1998, Kannberg started his own label, Pray for Mojo (later renamed Amazing Grease), and forned the Preston School of Industry . The band released a handful of solid albums and appeared on Kannberg’s first official Matador Records solo release under the Spiral Stairs moniker, 2009’s Real Feel.
Now 8 years later, Spiral Stairs is releasing a new album ‘Doris and The Daggers’ March 24th, 2017 on Domino Records (Europe/UK), Nine Mile Records (North America) and Collin’ By Sound Records (Australia). His second album as Spiral Stairs, Doris And The Daggers, is worth the wait. It’s some of the best music Scott’s been involved with, and also some of the most personal and emotional music he’s ever written, reflecting the life changes that occurred over those seven years.
Will I be able to sit down?
We usually have seating but it's limited and is first come first serve. Don't worry, though – you will want to be on your feet once the music starts!
Are shows wheelchair accessible?
All shows at Blueberry Hill in the Duck Room are wheelchair accessible via an elevator in the Piano Room hallway. A small percentage of shows are in the Elvis Room, which is not accessible.
